The whole training programme will last for two years and it has been divided into two stages.
Once a Telescope (trainee) goes through the two years successfully, then (s)he shall receive our certificates, based on the number of programmes (s)he registered for.
Stage 1: Training, Mentorship & Coaching
Stage 2: Working Experience & Skills Dev't.
6 Portfolios: 3 Networking + 3 Career
Certificates Upon Graduation
One begins the 1st Stage of the training programme through The Telescope TMA. Here, it’s all about training, research and skills acquisition. Whilst at it, the Telescope (trainee) receives mentoring and coaching.
The 2nd Stage of the training programme is about practical projects, portfolio building and the gaining of real working experience. Once again, Telescopes (trainees) receive further mentoring and coaching.
Each Telescope specializes in specific areas and builds 3 Career Portfolios. Additionally, (s)he will build 3 Networking Portfolios.
Upon going through the two years of training successfully, one gets to receive 1, 2, 3 or 4 international certificates as per the person’s registration.
Our objective for taking trainees through the Writing programme is to make them professional writers who are also versatile. That means we train them to be able to write on anything and on any topic without breaking a sweat; even if the person is not familiar with the topic area. They learn how to overcome writers block and also how to write SEO-friendly articles. Most importantly, they get to know how to write articles and stories that will be plagiarism-free.
There are many, many ways that one can become successful through writing. However, one needs to learn the tricks of the trade and that is exactly what our writing programme has been designed to do for those who will join us because of writing.
For instance, to be a good writer, being weak in Microsoft Word is a very big no-no. So if one is not good at Microsoft Word, our Writing Training Module is one of the best opportunities that one could have hoped for. The training takes trainees from beginner level to advanced level in a matter of 2 weeks.
Also, one key aspect of writing is how popular a writer’s stories, books or articles become. So Telescopes learn about social media promotion and also learn to build a large following for their works.
One may be a good writer, but if (s)he doesn’t learn how to build portfolios and how to brand himself/herself properly, then obviously, (s)he is not going to see much value in what (s)he will be doing. That is what our Writing Training Module helps Telescopes (trainees) to avoid. They get to understand the technicalities involved in writing different genre of articles, they get trained to know how to blog and they also to learn how to professionally write about what they love doing.
We have tutorial videos that Telescopes watch and practice to learn how to write. They also learn how to do plagiarism checks and grammar corrections so as to know how to write error-free articles. After writing their articles, they get the opportunity to have them published in our newspaper and on our website.
The writing programme has been designed to train Telescopes to know:
By the time one is done with the training, (s)he can end up taking up a career in story writing, blogging, copywriting, content management, correspondence for a newspaper etc.
The training lasts for two years. Hence, certification is done after the two-year training period has ended – not before or during the training period. But if it so happens that a Telescope’s duration in TTCJN is less than two years (due to the fact that (s)he is graduating from school), then (s)he shall be certified when (s)he is graduating from school so that (s)he can add the TTCJN certificate(s) to the academic certificate that (s)he will be getting from his/her institution.
We have three different types of certificates in TTCJN:
Training And Working Experience Certificate:
We have four training programmes that one can register for. After signing up, one will have to register for the one(s) that (s)he is interested in and after going through the training successfully, (s)he will receive a certificate based on the number of programmes (s)he registered for. So a Telescope can get 1, 2, 3 or all 4 certificates at the end of his/her training.
Writing Training And Working Experience Certificate:
If one registers for the Writing Training programme, then (s)he is going to receive a Writing Training Certificate at the end of the two-year training period.
See the other certificates that a Telescope can get.
As has already been said, each of our training programmes is a two-year programme and runs synchronously with the other training programmes. The training is in two Stages.
The 1st Stage of the Writing Training Programme has been divided into three Phases as indicated below:
At the end of the 1st year of the programme, Telescopes get to know how to write articles and blogging as well as how to write creative stories.
We have a specially designed training curriculum for the Writing Training Module and some very knowledgeable facilitators take trainees through it. The curriculum cuts out some of the plenty things that usually the classroom training tries to make students learn. Here, we focus on some of the key areas of writing that one will need to know so that after the training, (s)he can even start writing professionally or take up writing as a career. The full details of the training schedule is given out during the orientation session after new trainees sign up.
A portfolio is like a CV or resume for a specific aspect of one’s life. It adds value to a person and enhances the certificates and CV of the person. So in TTCJN, our training programmes have all been designed such that, as the student is being trained, (s)he also builds three different portfolios for himself or herself. The three different portfolios we help trainees of the Writing Training Module to build are:
