Chapter 1

The Truth

Guy Young Sees The Secret About Goha.

Atop the hill between Lake Tikka and Jidda, a young lady laughed and called down to him. “Young hurry, when are you gonna get here and enjoy the view with me?” He struggled to keep up, but he felt like an anchor was weighing him down. The higher he climbed the further away she seemed from him. “I must reach her”, he murmured repeatedly. “Wait”, he begged. “Please…”, but when he looked up again, she disappeared. In her place stood his nemesis, King Kang, glaring down at him with fiery bulging eyes. Then he let out a scream of terror that appeared like magma flowing down the hill across the village. Young awoke with the start from his day-mare. Immediately, there was a knock on his door. Startled, he enquired, “Who is that?”

“I’m looking for Guy Young”, a feminine voice said, “I must see him immediately”. “You are?” he asked again. “My name is Meba, will you please open the door…? I have something you need to see. Young peeped through a window at his visitor and taken aback by who he saw standing at his doorstep – the beautiful young lady from his dream. Reluctantly, he unlocked the hatch on the door with the dream vividly emblazoned in his mind.

The cold harmattan breeze filtered in through the door after her. “Your place looks more like a library than a home”, she joked. His shelves packed with books of all Genre, shape, and size by Authors from around the world. Young offered Meba a seat on his hand-crafted bamboo sofa. Although not overly pretty in a Barbie sense, the twenty-six-year-old Meba, had the slender physique of a model.

She was a brunette with soft blue eyes, a sultry voice, and a skin tone like pearls. She was quite a sight to behold and Young realized he couldn’t bring himself to stop gazing at her to enquire of her mission. As Young sat across Meba, absently gazing at her, wondering if his earlier dream with her in it, and she right before him now, we’re both a coincidence.  I need you to have a look at this, Meba cut in, jolting him back to the present. In her already held out hand was a worn-out paper that opens up like a scroll. Wearily, he took the scroll from Meba and looked at it with blazing eyes. He noticed an image on the paper and looked up at Meba. “Do you know what this is?” he asked, glancing back at the image.

The image on the paper was a map, it illustrated their own Goha, Gem the immediate village to their East and a host of other villages, stretching to the Roka forest they believed was the end of the world. Young gazed at the ornate mapping in utter bewilderment once again. He scrutinized it from the North to the South, the East to the West, barely able to believe his eyes.
